Inside the Black Lantern Inn
The Black Lantern Inn isn't just a party; it's a portal to a bygone era of spectral elegance and classic Halloween charm. As you step through our creaking doors, you are transported to a candlelit tavern full of pumpkins and secrets.

Magicians and other performers lurk amongst us. They will offer unique opportunities to take part in close-up performances, tarot card readings, and various tricks and treats. Our host, Aleister Crane will keep us on our toes with his own bizarre form of magic as well as contests, singalongs and more. We'll have a fairly judged costume contest where talent and effort are rewarded. As we get closer to the witching hour we can pump up the Halloween music and open up the dance floor for Halloween classics.
Decorations by film industry professionals and our fiends from Fright Fest BC. There will also be a photo op area to make sure you have the best photo of your costume.
A bar will be available with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Two bespoke cocktails will be offered for the evening. A food truck from Shameless Buns will be on site for dinner and late night munchies.
The Enchanters
Wizards, tricksters, storytellers and mystics walk amongst you. The veil is at its thinnest and real magic is possible.

Your host, Aleister Crane, will lead the festivities, conjuring the Spirit of Hallowe'en to haunt the Black Lantern Inn until the stroke of 12.
Madame Lu (Lu Castro) comes from the mystical tropical jungles of Costa Rica. His love for folklore and Santería led him to the world of tarot, where he has been reading for 15 years. His goal has always been simple: to help people find guidance, offer a different perspective, and provide advice with kindness and an open heart.
Ben Bisaillon is a writer and performance artist originally from Montreal. Fascinated by the intersection between sleight-of-hand magic and storytelling, Ben’s work often explores themes of structure, power, and childlike wonder.
Your friendly neighbourhood mystery guy. An award-winning television writer and producer, Dave Moses has always loved the weird. It's an amazing world of mind-reading, mental powers, hypnosis, spoon bending, swinging pendulums and tarot cards. And he'd love to share it with you.

The Black Lantern Inn is located at the Brockton Pavilion in Stanley Park.
For ride share / limousine / taxi or broom drop off, your driver can pull up at the drop off zone right by the Inn. The entrance is off 1151 Stanley Park Drive. Look for our signage and the do not enter sign. That being said, we encourage you to be dropped off at the Cricket Pitch lot as you will approach the Inn from the more scenic front.
By transit, the #19 will take you to the Stanley Park Bus Loop. From there it's about a 15 minute walk to the Inn. For those of you who would like a safe escort, we can have a lantern carrying ghoul meet you at the bus loop at 7:20pm. Kindly RSVP if you would like to join this guide.
By Car follow your favourite mapping program or sextant to Stanley park where paid parking at Totem Poles 2 lot or Cricket Pitch lot are available. The park has parking information here. I recommend the cricket pitch lot so you don't have to cross a goose poop field. Do not drink and drive; make sure you plan a safe ride home.
